My to-do list is rather long at the moment, so I’m just going to post a quick little note. Earlier this evening, I found out that Avalon Travel is extending my “American Nomad” travel blog into the new year. I’m really excited – mostly because I still have lot of places to explore. I can’t wait!
P.S. Thanks, everyone, for your dieting advice earlier today. Dan and I both appreciate it, and we’ll let you know how the deprivation – I mean, healthy lifestyle change – goes.

WooHoo! Congrats on the extension... now back to the to-do list. =)
Hooray for blog extensions! I'm w00ting for you over here in the snowy northeast, just so you know.
I want to be wherever that pic was taken -- it's oddly sunny in the Pac NW currently, but far too cold.
Great picture (at pictured rock?)! Congrats on the blog! Hope Dan enjoyed his shrimp po-boy! Totally jealous here... that's one of my all time favorite N.O. treats... I've never even seen it attempted anywhere else outside of New Orleans. sigh...
I hope you make it up to Oregon soon to explore (hint hint). Good luck with your daunting list!
Congrats on the travel blog! And good luck with the calorie counting. I picked up a yoga book for beginners last week, but I'm not going to start anything crazy until the New Year :) I'm weak...
PS - congrats on the travel blog... though, honestly, I'm not surprised by the extension.
Congrats on the blog extension. That's super awesome!
Thanks, Martha! Okay, back to work. ;-)
Thanks, Matt! I must say... I'm a little jealous that you're in a snowy place at the moment.
Oh, Bane, my dear, you don't want to be where this picture was taken... not right now. Becky's right - it's Pictured Rocks (a national lakeshore along Lake Superior) - and I'm sure it's frickin' freezin' there at the moment. Yay for sun in the PNW. P.S. Thanks for the congrats!
Becky - Yep. That's Pictured Rocks all right. But, no, Dan hasn't had his po-boy yet. We'll get 'em later... for dinner. I've tried them outside of New Orleans, and they're never the same - so I don't advise it. P.S. Thanks for the lucky vibes!
Thanks, Deb! Oh, and yoga's awesome. I finally converted my mom, and she's loving it. It's the coolest exercise ever - 'cause it works your body AND mind. Take it slowly - and have fun!
Thanks, Steph!
Congrats! So...where have you been so far and where do you still want to go? :)
Thanks, Shannon! Well, let's see... I've been to Europe, Mexico, and Canada, but my specialty is America. I've been to most of the states - California, Colorado, the Southwest, the South, the Midwest, all along the East Coast. So far, I've only missed Alaska, Hawaii, and the Pacific Northwest, but I aim to change that soon. Although I really want to travel abroad again, I'm happy to explore the States for now. It's truly an amazingly diverse country!
Oh, you can't miss out on the Pac. Northwest! That's my stomping ground. It is so beautiful - you'll love it! I truly envy you all your travels! :)
Woo-hoo! Congrats on the blog. And the photo of you is great...you look happy.
Shannon - Don't you worry! I aim to get there soon. My friend Becky's counting on it!
Anita - Thanks so much! And, yes, I was pretty happy that day. I am most days, actually. :-)
Wow! Like; you go girl.

Thanks, Donna!
Congrats! Look forward to future posts. Cute picture, btw.
Hey, Wordy. Thanks all around!
